Colors on the blue side of the spectrum are known as “cool” colors, blue included.

Blue is associated with the sky and the ocean, which both evoke feelings of tranquility and security. When you think of blue, things that usually come to mind are ice, water, and sky.  Blue also has the most shades of any color.

Today, the vast majority of companies (especially in the technology industry) will use blue.  Blue conveys a message of confidence and success.   It is generally a calming color to look at,   Light blue is linked more with creativity, sky blue represents serenity, calm and peace, and dark blue is the shade that symbolizes security and trust.  As a matter of fact, if you look at all the technology and large companies, financial institutions and more, a good number of them have chosen royal blue or navy blue as their color.  Social media and online companies as well, for trust.

Its a universally well-liked color, and is not recommended for any kind of restaurant or company that wants to show “excitement” in their product or service.
